SPARTAN 117

Spatan 117 "John" commonly refered to as Master Chief is the main Protagonist in Halo Trilogy. Players take control of Spartan 117 in all three Halo games. Spartan 117 is super soldier. He was genetically enchanced on the planey Reach during SPARTAN II PROJECT. As a result he has become the most advanced and most dangerious piece of warefare the UNSC can contrive. He was among many hundreds of others who underwent the project. However most died during the Fall of Reach. (In the games the other Spartans didn't survive, however on Spin off books four other members survive; Kelly, Lynda, Fred and Jason).

Spartan 117 like his contemporaries is a cyborg. His physcial attributes have been altered. He is much stronger, faster, smarter, agile, and tactically experianced than any normal soldier. He also bares a special armor known as MARk V in HALO: CE and MARK VI in HALO 2 & 3. On the out casing of armor is an advanced shield system, protecting him from most weaponry temporarly. Spartan 117's fate at end of Halo 3 is a mystery. Thought on Earth he is believed dead, it is reveald to player he survived and is hurrling towards an unkown planet. The mystery of what planet Spartan 117 has landed on may yet be revealed in another book or prehapes another sequel. One can only hope the latter.
